Patty's Off-Center Cafe, nestled in the heart of Salem, Oregon, is a hidden gem that has captured the hearts—and taste buds—of locals. Located at 1741 Center St NE, this quaint cafe is renowned for its breakfast and brunch offerings. Customers rave about the fresh, made-to-order dishes that evoke a sense of homemade comfort. Dan Spencer's experience highlights the cafe's efficiency, allowing diners to enjoy delicious meals without long waits. Andrew Holbert emphasizes the quality of the ingredients, particularly the jalapeno cheddar biscuits, which are a must-try.
The atmosphere is charming and the service, as noted by Megan Bogan-Libercajt, is notably friendly—creating an inviting space reminiscent of home-cooked meals. Many patrons, like Amy W and Julie Diedrick Cyran, appreciate the cafe’s decor and consistently excellent food, noting the small detail of syrup as an area for improvement, but this hardly overshadows the overall experience.
Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Patty's Off-Center Cafe promises a delightful culinary escape that will make you feel right at home.

We heard good things about the Word of Mouth place down the street but we were told we'd have to wait an hour and a half for a table. Said "forget this" and found Patty's on Google. Parking was easy. Sat is within minutes. Ordered and ate before we would have even gotten a table at the other place. AND the food was awesome! Would totally go back.

This is an under appreciated spot here in town! Everything was made fresh to order and it is noticeable too! The regular biscuit is good but definitely give one of the jalapeno cheddar biscuits a go! Everything was fresh age made to order. The wait stuff are very attentive and friendly. I imagine on weekends this place is extremely busy so parking may be a concern on a Saturday or Sunday morning.

One of our few go-to breakfast places! We love the food and the service and the decor is super cute. The only benefit would be real maple syrup instead of the ooey gooey stuff, but it's not a deal breaker

Absolutely love love love this restaurant!! The food is phenomenal and the staff are outstanding!! I finally found a place that makes homemade corned beef hash like my mama did. The food here is like food coming out of your grandma's kitchen! I highly highly highly suggest this restaurant! If you live in Salem-Keizer area and have you not been here you don't know what you are missing! I would get down here as soon as possible! I promise you will be a returning customer!

What a gem! Visited for breakfast after reading the great reviews and sure wasn't disappointed! Patty's menu has wonderful variety and very appealing takes on breakfast or lunch fare, such as lemon-poppyseed pancakes with drizzled vanilla icing and raspberry syrup on the side. Extremely Yum. The Meat Lover's scramble was chock-full of ham, sausage and bacon; the warm herb biscuits were hefty, savory and moist and perfect with butter or their sausage gravy. The sausage gravy was flavorful but not peppery; I added a little pepper because I like it that way. The home fries had plenty of onion and green pepper throughout, very tasty and not greasy. Everything is scratch-made, just the way you'd do it if you had the time! Generous portions, we took home leftovers. They're a breakfast and lunch place, so go early. The place filled up for lunch by the time we were finished eating around 10:30am.

As first time visitors to this area, it was hard to decide on where to go for breakfast. I'm so happy we decided on this located because as we entered the atmosphere, it said it all. It was very cozy and welcoming. We loved all the items hanging on the walls and the welcoming faces of the employees. Then we ordered our breakfast, and it o ly got better, we highly recommend ordering their biscuits with anything you decided to get because they're so so delicious it's going to be hard on our next visit to try a different location lol

This is a cute, clean little place with absolutely AMAZING service and food! The waitresses and Patty were doing their best and making sure everyone was taken care of and the cook was grumpy and hostile to her for talking with us. We love coming to Patty's but it is always busy, but the wait is never too long, that is to be expected with a full restaurant. Even though the chef is crabby everything we had was perfectly cooked, exactly as we ordered it, which in this day and age a rare thing. I had the Uncle Mikes Red Neck Benedict, the herb scratch made biscuit was a nice addition, and my husband had the chicken fried steak. It is everything you want, it’s hand breaded and the gravy is homemade and super tasty. It took over 25 minutes to get our food is worth the wait but be aware there is a bit of a wait. For those of you that are vegetarian or are allergy-sensitive they have options for you as well. I highly recommend this restaurant! If you live in Salem-Keizer area and have you not been here you don't know what you are missing! Don't wait come check them out.
